Manchester United are set to be without six key players when they entertain Leeds United in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
The Red Devils recently jumped to third in the league standings with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
The victory came at a cost for United with Casemiro now suspended for the next three league games after his harsh sending off.
Meanwhile, Antony has also been ruled out of the Leeds clash with an injury picked up from the challenge from Jeffrey Schlupp.
Speaking in today’s press conference, Ten Hag confirmed Antony’s absence for tomorrow alongside Anthony Martial and Scott McTominay.
He told Manutd.com: “They [Martial and McTominay] are not involved tomorrow. And the same with Antony dos Santos. He is also not available for tomorrow so we have to sort that out.”
Aside from the quartet, the Red Devils are set to be without Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek with long-term injuries.
United face key period ahead in the Premier League
United were the biggest winners in the Premier League in the previous matchday as everyone in the top four dropped points apart from them.
They are now scheduled to face Leeds in back-to-back games before Aston Villa visit Old Trafford.
On paper, these are three winnable fixtures. The first two against Leeds should be straightforward with them struggling for form and confidence.
United are missing several key starters at the moment, but they should still comfortably see off the challenge from a manager-less Leeds.
The likes of Marcel Sabitzer and Alejandro Garnacho have the opportunity to cement their places in the starting line-up with strong displays.
The Red Devils have the chance to reduce the gap to leaders Arsenal to just five points with a victory tomorrow, though they will have played two games more.
