Ryan Reynolds joked that he had forgotten to put together a commercial ahead of the Super Bowl with the release of his new Aviation Gin ad on Sunday.

The 46-year-old actor-turned-businessman appeared anxious as he filmed the Aviation clip while admitting that he didn’t have time to put together a more compelling commercial in time for game day.

‘Today is the Super Bowl… and you’re probably wondering why Aviation Gin hasn’t done anything,’ he said bashfully while appearing behind a bar and flanked by bottles of his gin.

‘Well, as you know, I’ve been spending a lot of time with, um…’ he trailed off as the clip cut to footage of him cheering in what appeared to be a soccer stadium.

The video referenced Reynolds’ purchase — with It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia star Rob McElhenney — of the Welsh soccer team Wrexham AFC.

Reynolds, who wore a simple gray long-sleeve shirt back at his bar, nervously added that he loves his ‘Aviation and NFL fans.’

‘So we’re going to come up with something right now,’ he continued as he leaned on his brief history doing ‘improv.’

‘A minute! We go with “minute,” I think,’ he spitballed.

Then he tied it back to football, transforming it into, ‘two-minute warning.’

‘OK, that’s something. It’s not great, but it’s something,’ he said, sounding satisfied.

‘Today in the Super Bowl, [at] each of the two-minute warnings everyone will have two minutes to enter a sweepstakes to win two tickets to next year’s Super Bowl,’ he continued, pausing along the way as if he was still figuring out his offer.

‘That’s pretty good, right?’ he added.

‘This gives us a year to sort through the legal…’ he joked as he trailed off.

Just as the video cut out, he could be heard saying, ‘Um, can we get someone to build a website today?’

Their latest face-off came after Jackman posted an enviable photo of himself on Instagram on Saturday morning.

The Wolverine star showed off his killer workout and bulging biceps as he lifted a huge dumbbell alongside a personal trainer.

‘He’s only 46. I’m older. But it’s not a competition,’ he wrote.

And it didn’t take long for Reynolds to respond, re-posting Jackman’s photo with a hilarious caption.

‘Kay, I’m drinking milk,’ he replied.

Jackman said he struggled to remember the specifics, but it did start over Reynold’s ex-wife, Scarlett Johansson, who he was married to from 2008 until 2011.

‘It’s gone back so long now… God, this is a classic sign where your feud has gone too long, where you don’t even know why or how it started!’ he told Daily Beast.

Hugh said things ‘escalated’ after Reynolds took on the role of Deadpool, proving to be a rival to his portrayal of Wolverine.

He claimed Reynolds had used social media to ‘manipulate’ him in recent years, with the two men regularly poking fun at each other on Instagram.

‘There’s no doubt it’s a lot of fun because let’s face it, it’s one of the great — it should be an Olympic sport — trolling Ryan Reynolds,’ Jackman said.

‘I’m pretty sure I’ll be out there for the gold, but I think everyone would enjoy the sport. I think every kid should do it.’
