Tom Cruise is used to signing autographs and having his picture taken with fans.
But he might not have been expecting similar levels of enthusiasm from his Hollywood peers.
Cruise, 60, found himself the toast of the Oscar nominees luncheon yesterday as A-list stars including Jamie Lee Curtis and Austin Butler made a beeline for him.
He was pictured shaking hands, laughing and joking with Tinseltown’s elite at The Beverly Hilton.
The actor, whose blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick is nominated for Best Picture, posed for photos with Elvis star Butler, director Steven Spielberg, The Whale star Hong Chau, activist Malala Yousafzai and Best Actress nominee Michelle Williams.

He was also seen in animated conversation with Best Supporting Actress nominee Ms Lee Curtis, 64.
‘I ran into Tom. We don’t know each other well but we’ve both been doing this for a long time,’ she said later.
The Oscars will take place on March 12.
