Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has revealed two aspects of Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus over Erling Haaland.
Jesus left Man City for Arsenal last summer, while Pep Guardiola’s men signed Haaland from Dortmund. But Ederson believes that Jesus is more flexible and powerful than Haaland.
The Brazilian told UEFA: “When [Erling Haaland] arrived, we said he was going to score a lot of goals – and it happened. He was a great goalscorer, he always was. find a way to score goals and help the team.”
“He’s the striker we need because compared to Gabriel [Jesus] they are different players: Gabi likes to come in from the wing, he’s stronger and more flexible ; Haaland plays more focused, finds a way. Entering the box, he’s the target in the box.”
“That’s the big difference. When you go into the last third of the field, you have someone waiting for you.”
Currently Jesus’ Arsenal and Haaland’s Man City are in fierce competition for the title, but Jesus has had to miss some time due to injury.
