Manchester United – including, crucially, Marcus Rashford – have been photographed boarding a train in Manchester bound for London ahead of Sunday’s Carabao Cup final.
Looking to claim the first piece of silverware on offer this season, United head into the clash fresh off the back of one of their biggest wins of the season to date, knocking Barcelona out of the Europa League on Thursday night.
Appearing in jovial mood as they set sail for the capital, the likes of Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Lisandro Martinez all smiled for the cameras. Erik ten Hag, sporting a flat cap, offered a wave.
The players signed autographs as they stepped off the team coach at Stockport train station before boarding the locomotive destined for London.
They looked pictures of focus roughly 24 hours out from the biggest game of their season to date.

The capital has been gripped by Carabao Cup final fever throughout Saturday, with thousands of Newcastle supporters descending on London in anticipation of their team’s first involvement in a domestic final in 24 years.
Trafalgar Square was packed all evening as thousands of supporters, many without tickets for the Wembley showpiece, came down to enjoy the party.
Photographed as a squad on the platform waiting for the train, United’s players appeared calm in the face of their tags as favourites for the game, Alejandro Garnacho was easily identifiable owing to his new, peroxide blonde hair cut.
The Argentine forward was also seen clutching a Starbucks drink.
Harry Maguire, who has praised manager Ten Hag for the transformation he has wrought on United in his eight months at the club despite having seen his place in the side go to Lisandro Martinez, was part of the party destined for London.

The United captain, 29, could lift his first piece of silverware as a player for the club on Sunday.
Antony, who enjoyed his best moment to date in a United shirt on Thursday, notching the winner and overall looking much more effective against Barcelona, willingly posed for a selfie with an enthused supporter.
United could end a trophy hoodoo stretching back to 2017 against Newcastle. Were they to prevail, it would be the club’s sixth League Cup in total.
Newcastle, meanwhile, have been far more starved of success in the decades that followed their last major domestic trophy triumph (the FA Cup in 1955). They have never won the League Cup, coming closest in 1976.
