Boehly urged to sack Potter
Todd Boehly was told before Chelsea’s trip to Tottenham that Graham Potter had very little time to save his job as form spiralled for the manager. The 2-0 loss in north London has done little to change that.
Potter is now on a woeful run that sees Chelsea sit 10th in the league. Another defeat without a goal being scored has once more only left fans to vent their frustration.
With Leeds and Borussia Dortmund on the horizon for Potter there is need for immediate change or else his position may well become untenable.
Many fans have already turned on the former Brighton manager and convincing them that he is the answer is becoming increasingly hard as the weeks go on.
Potter tipped for England job
Former Arsenal star Ray Parlour has tipped Chelsea boss Graham Potter to become a future England men’s national team manager, despite recent struggles at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have managed just two wins in their last 16 Premier League games, building pressure on the head coach. With Gareth Southgate now believed to be in place for Euro 2024 there is no immediate reason to see a replacement.
Potter had been linked with the national team job previously, with some claiming he would have been a better option to lead the country to the World Cup over the winter.
Conor Gallagher interest
Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher continues to be linked with a potential move away from the club this summer as Football Insider reports that Newcastle are eyeing a switch. The report claims that the Magpies missed out on a deal for the England international in January and want to make a move again.
The midfielder is said to be valued at £30million ahead of a potential transfer, with his future uncertain.
