Mo Salah alongside Lionel Messi in new Pepsi advert showing the duo showing off their skills as they scramble for a can

Salah has been a Pepsi brand ambassador since 2016 but his promotion to TV advert co-star reflects his stunning form since joining Liverpool — he has scored 64 goals in 86 games for the Reds.

The advert, which Salah posted on his Twitter account, is set against a dry and sandy backdrop

The video begins with Messi and Salah arriving at a petrol station in the middle of a sandy scene where they discover there is just one can of Pepsi left in the fridge.

In order to decide who deserves the can, the duo then release a load of footballs from a display unit and begin challenging each other in a range of drills.

After matching each other — by successfully kicking balls at a sign, into the headlight sockets of a conked-out car and then through moving tires — Messi and Salah are surprised when a third party cheekily arrives to drink the final Pepsi.

Salah smiles and shrugs while Messi is seen shaking his head at this development, before the pair spot a Pepsi lorry which they chase with their arms waving.
