Kylian Mbappe reportedly wants PSG to sign Pau Torres this summer, though Tottenham also rumoured to be interested in the Villarreal centre-back.
According to AS, the France international will play a key role in PSG’s business in the upcoming transfer window, with the 24-year-old keen for Luis Campos to bring in players who could improve the squad as well as his overall game, with Torres a target.
With a release clause of €60m (£53m), Torres could be an acquirable target for PSG, though as reported by 90min, Tottenham are also interested in signing the Spanish international, who looks set to leave Villarreal at the end of this season amid growing transfer speculation.
Although interest from the Premier League is always likely to persuade a player to move to England, Mbappe personally wanting someone at PSG is another story entirely, and this could help the French giants sign Torres ahead of Tottenham this summer.
Indeed, Torres is one of the best defenders in La Liga and a player many expect to go on to play for one of Europe’s biggest clubs, and with Mbappe now wanting PSG to sign the centre-back, it could be hard for the Spaniard to reject such a proposal in the window.
As for Tottenham, Torres heading to Paris won’t be the end of the world for the north London side. However, Antonio Conte and his team could find it difficult to find a centre-back target as food as the Villarreal man, who would have been a perfect summer signing for Spurs.

It’s still crazy that a player can have as much power over a club than Mbappe does at PSG, yet this is the reality we find ourselves in, and the attacker wanting Torres in the French capital could be a massive blow for Tottenham and their transfer plans this summer.
As we know, Spurs are keen to sign a centre-back in the window, and whilst Torres might not be the first-choice option, the Spaniard is still a player who many supporters would want at the club. Though it now seems like Mbappe and PSG could throw this pursuit way off course.
