Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was seen taking free throws in a sign that he is on the mend from a foot injury.
Just before Tuesday night’s game between the Lakers and the New Orleans Pelicans, ESPN reporter Dave McMenamin shot video of James putting up shots.
James has been out of action for a while after suffering a tendon injury in his right foot last month.
LeBron was ruled out for a number of weeks and he was spotted traveling with the team, but wearing a protective walking boot.
Recently, in a game against the New York Knicks on Sunday, James was seen without the boot on – which Lakers fans took as a positive sign.

After the post was put up by McMenamin, James took to Instagram and posted a drawing of himself in a Matrix-esque contraption with a breathing machine and probes attached to him.
The caption on the post didn’t explain anything further – leaving things up to interpretation for Lakers fans and the rest of the league.
The caption was just crown and hourglass emojis – perhaps dropping a hint of a comeback.
While he’s been rehabbing, LeBron has been spotted at his son Bronny’s high school basketball games and alongside his wife Savannah at an Oscars afterparty.
The Lakers are in desperate need of James’ services if they hope to stay alive in the Western Conference playoff race.
