Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have donated a huge $5million to Tyrese amid his bitter custody battle with his ex-wife.
The 38-year-old Fast and Furious actor’s ex Norma Gibson accused him of assault and last month the star was investigated by the Department of Child and Family Services, but no criminal charges against him were pressed after they dropped the investigation.
The star later took to social media to say he was struggling financially due to the high cost of legal bills involved.
However, it looks like things are finally looking up for the actor as over the weekend he took to social media to thank Will and Jada for their generous donation.
He wrote: “When we show UP for each-other there’s nothing that can’t be done I️ repeat nothing…
“My wife kept the news away from me cause I’ve been on with lawyers all day but our family and our sister Jada-Pinkett Smith and my brother Will Smith just sent us 5 million dollars to help keep us afloat.”
The actor also said the donation came with a stipulation – that he keeps his private life private from now on.
“You’ve guys asked me to get off and stay off the Internet now that my daughters legal fees will be paid! will listen…
“The Smiths’s and their whole family has always shown up for The Gibson’s Uncle Will you’re an uncle for real,” he continued.
However, it wasn’t long before he was posting again – even proposing to his wife for the second time.
Meanwhile, Tyrese recently threatened to quit the Fast and Furious franchise over his ongoing feud with co-star Dwayne Johnson.
Last week he issued an emotional ultimatum to his co-star, telling “loyal fans and loved ones from OUR Fast universe” that he won’t appear in Fast 9 if Johnson is involved.
“I’m sorry to announce that if [Dwayne] is in Fast 9, there will no more Roman [Pearce]. You mess with family and my daughters survival I mess with yours,” Gibson captioned a selfie of him, Johnson, and Vin Diesel.
That rant came after Gibson criticised Johnson on Instagram in October when Universal Pictures announced the ninth Fast installment was being pushed back a year to accommodate a spin-off around Johnson and Jason Statham’s characters.
