Paris Hilton admits she was in tears after seeing herself on the front cover of Playboy in 2005 as she hadn’t given her permission for her photos to be used.
The heiress, 42, told in her new biography Paris: The Memoir that she had initially turned down late founder Hugh Hefner’s seven-figure offer to star in the magazine as she was weary of the impression it would give following her previous sex tape scandal.
Paris told how she was later shocked to see herself on the cover with images from an old photoshoot, telling in her book: ‘No one was terribly surprised to see me on the cover of Playboy. Except me. I was surprised. And not in a good way.’
She recalled how the late editor-in-chief Hugh had previously offered her ‘more and more money’, telling her: ‘I wouldn’t have to be totally naked, just topless. And then saying, I didn’t have to be topless, just sheer. And then saying I could wear whatever lingerie I wanted.’
She went on: ‘Even when he offered seven figures, I turned it down, because I knew my mom would lose her mind, and because I had already been branded as a sl*t after the sex tape. I felt like a Playboy pictorial would just cement that in people’s minds.’

Paris confessed that years before the cover came out, she initially found the idea ‘awesome’, with the star living with Playboy bunnies Jennifer Rovero and Nicole Lenz in Los Angeles at the time and regularly attending parties at the Playboy mansion.
However, her mother Kathy Hilton – who herself was approached to model for the magazine in her teens – put her foot down, telling Paris it would be ‘so trashy’, with Paris abiding by her mother’s wishes.
But just four years later, Paris unexpectedly did end up on Playboy’s front cover shortly after her very racy Super Bowl advert for burger chain Carl’s Jr – with Playboy using a picture from an ‘old test shoot’ with a female photographer, whom Paris described as ‘really great’.
The Stars Are Blind hitmaker told that with the cover she was on, Hugh had ‘honoured’ her with a ‘Sex Star of the Year Award’, meaning the magazine could claim it as ‘news’ and not a ‘pictorial’.
Paris said that she imagined the edition had good sales as people ‘expected’ to see her naked inside the magazine, quipping ‘surprise, suckers’, before t=adding that they got ‘nothing, same as me’.
In the wake of the cover, Paris recalled that her mother Kathy and 3father Richard were ‘p****d’, while she ‘cried’, but told how no one confronted Hugh at the time as ‘you just didn’t do that’.
It comes after Paris revealed what the Kardashians gifted her new baby and her surprising skydiving experience on Thursday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Bravo.
The socialite was asked questions by host Andy, 54, about her new baby Phoenix who arrived in January via surrogacy as she promoted her new book, Paris: The Memoir.

‘Which of your famous pals has sent you the best baby gift?,’ Andy asked.
‘Kim and Kourtney and Kris sent me this giant alpaca. It’s not a real one, but it’s just so cute I have it in the front of my house now. I hug it every day,’ Paris answered.
Paris in February shared on social media that Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian had gifted her baby boy with a life-size plush alpaca.
The businesswoman recently has been promoting her memoir that was released on Tuesday by Dey Street Books.
An extract from the memoir published by Stellar revealed that Paris didn’t enjoy sex as a young woman and would fake orgasms to end her encounters.

Memory: ‘Even when he offered seven figures, I turned it down, because I knew my mom would lose her mind, and because I had already been branded as a sl*t after the sex tape’
She wrote about wondering if she was ‘asexual’ in her 20s, as despite her reputation of ‘sleeping around with a hundred gorgeous guys’ she preferred kissing and found sex a chore.
‘I called myself the “kissing bandit” because I only liked to make out. A lot of my relationships didn’t work out because of that’ she said.
‘I could fake it, and I was good at faking it, but it felt like getting run over by a minibike a hundred times. I thought orgasm was something faked so that sex could be over. I kept trying to make it work,’ the memoir read.
Paris told Harper’s Bazaar magazine this month that she did not have strong sexual urges before she met her husband Carter Reum, 42.
