Fans upset with Cristiano Ronaldo after his controversial gesture.
Cristiano Ronaldo made it to the headlines after his team Al-Nassr lost a crucial match in the Saudi Pro League against Al-Hilal by 2-0 on Tuesday. However, there were more than one reasons for him to be a hot topic on the internet after the game as first he was taken into scrutiny for his tackle during the match in WWE style and while going back to the dressing room, the Portuguese star footballer pointed his crotch towards the crowd who were chanting Lionel Messi’s name.
This type of reaction from the Al-Nassr captain in a muslim country like Saudi Arabia during the month of Ramadan has led to a huge controversy and people are asking the management to ban Ronaldo from playing football in the country. A trend surfaced online which asks the management to “expell the fan’s abuser” from the middle-eastern country.

However, Al-Nassr has come out in support of the star footballer as they explained that Ronaldo has got an injury on the groin area and therefore, he was seen in an awkward position holding his crotch. The Saudi Arabian giant said that fans are “free to think whatever they want to” in this matter.
Al-Nassr has lost their position in the Saudi Pro League after Al-Ittihad went three points ahead of them on the table. Ronaldo has scored 11 goals in 13 games in the Saudi Pro League since he joined Al-Nassr after a controversial exit from Manchester United.
