Four-year-old Mateo proved he’s inherited some of his dads talents with an impressive display in his garden.
And it seems his four-year-old boy Mateo is equally as lethal in front of goal.
A recent video shows the youngster leathering the ball into the top corner from distance before then going on a darting run and producing a clinical finish.
The clip looks to have been taken in Messi’s back garden of his home in Spain, which houses a mini football pitch.
And Mateo has clearly been watching his old man at work, as he celebrates just like Messi after his first goal.

Kissing both hands and raising them to the air, Mateo then makes a beeline towards the camera before putting his finger to his lips in a silencing motion.
His second strike is even more Messi-esque, as he dribbles the ball from the half-way line before firing low into the corner, and then falling to the ground clutching his face as if he’s been crunched with a late tackle.
One thing eagle-eyed fans will notice however, is that Mateo is not a complete carbon copy of his dad, as he is predominantly right-footed.

And perhaps Mateo could even be taking tips of another world-class talent, Cristiano Ronaldo .
Messi’s long-time rival recently suggested the pair should have dinner together, which the Argentine has responded ti in a positive manner.
Messi told Sport: “Yes, I don’t have any problem with that.
“I’ve always said that I don’t have any issue with him. We might not be friends because we’ve never shared a dressing room together but I always see him at award shows and there’s no problem.
“I don’t know if there will be a dinner because I don’t know if our paths will cross for obvious reasons, each one of us has our own life and our own commitments.
“But obviously I would accept the invitation.”
Maybe Mateo and Ronaldo’s son Cristiano Jr could join their fathers in a quick game of two-on-two in the garden to round off the evenings entertainment.
