THIS miraculous mutt was saved from certain death by fellow dogs after she “was thrown” into a sticky pit of tar.
The helpless hound was only rescued when local kids were alerted to her plight by the barks of her canine compadres.
They then called the emergency crews who embarked on a nine-hour rescue mission to save and then clean up the poor pooch.
The shocking incident happened in Merlo, which is a suburb of Buenos Aires.
Cops said the dog – named Aloe by her rescuers – was completely exhausted when rescued by firefighters and the animal group Proyecto 4 Patas (Four Legs Project).
It’s believed she either fell or was even thrown into the tar well in an abandoned part of the Argentinian capital
Rescuers said her pitiful whimpers attracted other dogs who then started barking in an apparent attempt to sound the alarm.
According to the organisation, the non-stop rescue operation took around nine hours and a lot of soap.
When pulled from the pit, the dog was entirely covered tar which had started to set hard leaving the poor hound in a very sticky situation.
Proyecto 4 Patas said: “Aloe was stuck in the ground and petrified. One hundred percent of her body was hardened. “Her mouth, eyes, ears, everything.
“We were shocked, we had never been in front of an animal in this conditions, but it was a time to get focused and use our will and love to get her out of this nightmare situation as soon as possible.”
The initial cleanup was taking place on the scene but the dog was then taken to a clinic for further treatment.
The organisation added: “We were already informed about how to work, we had hours and hours in front of us of work.
“We gathered volunteers, we organised ourselves in teams, we bought litres and litres of oil and for nine hours non stop we cleaned the tar.”
The dog was finally cleaned totally and the picture of the results was also shared by the organisation.
They added: “And here you have Aloe, this is the day of her second birth, because there is no doubt she was born again.”
