In a funny video from Manchester City’s match versus Bayern Munich, fans believe Erling Haaland ‘farted’ on Leon Goretzka.
Earlier this month, the Cityzens thrashed the German giants 4-1 on aggregate to secure their place in the Champions League semifinal.
Pep Guardiola’s side defeated the Bavarians 3-0 at the Etihad before drawing 1-1 at the Allianz Arena in the second leg.
A few weeks after the second-leg match, a clip of Haaland, who scored on his return to Germany, has gone viral.
In the video posted on social media, the Norwegian sensation and Bayern midfielder Goretzka are involved in an exchange, and footie fans believe they know what’s happened.
Twitter users think Goretzka was the intended recipient of the Man City forward’s “fart,” who can be seen holding his nose and backing away from his opponent.
Social media reactions
Fans resorted to social media to suggest that Haaland ‘farted’ on Leon Goretzka in a hilarious, viral video.
@Stefek1807 reacted:
“Erling #Haaland drinks milk, eats carrots and farts every 8 to 10 minutes. It’s what makes him above average on the pitch”
@Temesgen034986 tweeted:
“Is that why the defences of each team he has scored at couldn’t handle him??”
@mitismee posted:
“And those who successfully stop him apparently love the smell of farte”
@SheikhZammo added:
“Erling Fartland”
Haaland breaks Salah’s record
Meanwhile, Haaland’s 33rd Premier League goal last night meant he broke Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah’s goal tally of 32 goals in the 38-game era of the Premier League, set in the 2017/18 season, according to ESPN.
He has played just 29 games this season and with Man City having seven league games left, he is on course to break another record of 34 goals in a 42-game season; a joint record held by Andy Cole and Alan Shearer.
Adebayo differentiates Haaland from Aguero
Sports Brief earlier reported on former City striker, Emmanuel Adebayor differentiating Haaland from Sergio Aguero, and his analysis appeared spot-on.
The Togolese veteran claimed Haaland is physical and combative against defenders and he proved just that, bullying Rob Holding throughout the game.
The former Salzburg and Dortmund striker upped his game to a different level against the Gunners, through link-up play and also turning provider for KDB.
