Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning will be seeing Tom Cruise take on the role of Ethan Hunt for the seventh time now. The actor has played a big bunch of iconic characters and this one shines out separately. The anticipation of the movie has only been increasing and the wave of excitement only has praise to chant about the film.

While some movies can stretch out their stories to as long as over three hours, most movies find that to be an obstacle. It has led to various movies being cut down and integral scenes being taken away to condense the movie as much as possible. By the looks of it, Cruise’s upcoming movie also seems to be the latest target of being snipped in time.
Tom Cruise’s Movie Gets Cut Down From Three Hours
Tom Cruise‘s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning was initially set out to be over three hours long. The idea of seeing an idea planned out across that duration of time had excited a lot of fans. However, much like the fate of Keanu Reeves’ John Wick: Chapter 4, Cruise’s film has also been cut down and condensed.

“I had the chance to see a test cut of Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning a couple days ago. The movie is about 2:45 minutes long and holy hell, Esai Morales and Pom Klementieff knock it out the park as villains, super menacing while also being extremely cunning. Tom does Tom but the action set pieces in this one were the best in franchise, honestly I’d say this is the best bunch of the whole franchise.”
Various scenes of the movie have been eliminated in order to shorten the run time to two hours and forty-five minutes. It has been highly praised despite the cuts and scene extractions. While the movie has seen a lot of changes with regard to its time, there seems to be no suffering in terms of the plot.
Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 7 Still Looks To Be The Best Despite The Cuts
There has only been a cut of about twenty minutes of the movie. This has not stopped the fans from acknowledging just how incredible the movie seems to be. It is praised to be the best Mission: Impossible movie up till now, giving Tom Cruise’s project even more hype than it already had.

The movie is only the first part of a two-parter movie series. Christopher McQuarrie is bringing an entire series to the franchise that already has a lot of fame. The movie has seen cuts as well as delays. McQuarrie and Cruise, along with the rest of the cast and crew have still managed to keep the movie running in its all true glory.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1 will be available to watch in theatres from 12th July 2023.
