Taylor Swift’s Eras tour sees her perform a slew of greatest hits, dancing and belting her heart out on stage for around three hours – and when a girl’s gotta go, she’s gotta go
An expert has revealed just how Taylor Swift uses the bathroom during her three-hour concerts – and it’s far from glamorous.
Taylor is currently travelling the world for her Eras tour, which sees her perform a slew of greatest hits complete with extravagant dance numbers, intimate acoustic tracks and plenty of emotion.
Concerts can last upwards of three hours, with Taylor performing hit tracks like Anti-Hero and You Need to Calm Down.
And when a girl’s gotta go, she’s gotta go.
Now TikTok user ItsJohnJoseph has explained just how that happens when Taylor’s busy entertaining the crowds.

It’s not glamorous, and involves a strategically placed bucket.
Responding to a comment from a fan who said: “If Taylor can hold it so can I!” user John Joseph explained: “Well that’s because Taylor is most likely not holding it during her three-hour show, let me explain.
“For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about, let me explain. Taylor Swift’s setlist is about three hours long, and a lot of people for some reason are asking what happens if Taylor needs to use the restroom while she’s on stage?”
He added: “Well, I don’t know if this is Taylor’s tactic, but there is such a thing as a pee bucket. At most concerts there are two different dressing rooms for the artists.

“The one that they get ready in, which usually has a bathroom connected to it, and then a second dressing room that is usually under the stage so the artist can do their quick changes there, get their hair and make-up touched up.
“That way they’re not running all the way back to their dressing room, which is usually a ways away from the stage,” he explained.
But the under-stage dressing room doesn’t have its own bathroom – creating a problem for performers.
John added: “Most likely, running back to their original dressing room would take way too long, so most artists have a pee bucket on stage in case they need to use the restroom.
Other stars – including Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry – have used the bucket method (Image: Getty Images for TAS Rights Mana)
“Artists like Katy Perry, the Jonas Brothers and Kelly Clarkson have all admitted to doing this! Except Kelly said she did not go pee and absolutely destroyed a bucket one time when she ate some bad food before a concert,” he quipped.
It’s true – during a talk show appearance, American Idol winner Kelly confessed: “It wasn’t pee. I got some kind of wrecked up from some kind of food.
“I grabbed this poor trash can and, boy, I destroyed it. It happens!”
