The Ford Expedition 2022 is considered one of the best 8-seat SUVs on the U.S. market.
This statement is supported by sales results: the vehicle has often made the list of bestsellers in its class.
However, after a recent update, the Ford Expedition is suddenly worse than its predecessor versions, according to owner claims.
The restyled Ford Expedition 2022 got a refreshed exterior, a track autopilot, an off-road Timberline modification, and an upgraded engine.
Design
The car got two new versions: street Stealth Edition and off-road Timberline.
The last one distinguished by a black grille with orange details, 33-inch off-road Goodyear Wrangler AT tires, increased ground clearance (ground clearance) to 27 mm with wide track, as well as modified departure and entry angles.
Timberline also received a two-stage transfer case with underbody protection from the F-150 Raptor pickup, and an electronic maneuvering aid.
The interior of the SUV includes SYNC 4 multimedia system with a 15.5-inch vertical screen, 12.4-inch digital dashboard and 22-speaker Bang & Olufsen speakers.
Specifications
The power lineup included a boosted 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost rated at 440 horsepower (690 Nm).
In cheaper modifications the same engine develops power up to 380 and 400 horsepower.
Together with the engine a ten-speed «automatic transmission» works. The drive, as before, can be rear or all-wheel drive.
The new Ford Expedition 2022 is now equipped with the BlueCruise Highway Autopilot, which allows the driver to take their hands off the wheel on certain sections of the highway.
In the U.S., sales of the new Ford Expedition 2022 will begin in early 2022. Pricing and equipment options have not yet been announced.
Production of the updated SUV will be set up at Ford’s plant in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.
