When the mother of three from Paramus, New Jersey decided to have twins when she was older, it should have been a joyful occasion, but she had no idea how her oldest daughter would feel in 2006.
When Lauren met Frank Garcia at a dancing lesson in New Jersey in 2002, her first husband stopped her. That was two years ago. They went on a date even there, and despite the fact that he was 20 years her junior, they fell in love right away and decided they wanted to start a family.
“I never thought he could be interested in a woman so much older like me. He was a great dancer in my eyes so I asked him to dance one night and he said yes, from that, our love began” Lauren said.
They married in July 2002, they want to have a family. The couple looked into I.V.F to start a family but many doctors didn’t receive her away because of her age over age into I.V.F in that hospital. In January 2004, they determined to found another hospital, she was accepted by a clinic in Virginia but they experienced the disappointed of four failed round of I.V.F . They kept continuing and didn’t give up their dream of becoming parents. It was then that a doctor in New Jersey agreed to help, and finally their dream became true, the couple got pregnant. In December 2004, the couple welcomed their first girl, Raquel, via I.V.F. Less than a year after Raquel’s birth, Lauren discovered she was expecting twins, unbelievable, that was a miracle they couldn’t imagine.
On May 22, 2006, Lauren was nearly to her 60th birthday when she gave birth to twins, Gregory and Giselle, via I.V.F using other eggs.
“I don’t feel like a record holder . Except for a.rthritis , I’m in excellent shape, good health” she said
With three young children, she worries about her children’s life when the more her children grow up, the more she is older. Lauren made it her top priority to stay as healthy as possible with the dream to see her children attend college. In addition to doing pilates and yoga, the mom-of-four said she took nearly 100 supplements every week to stay fit.“I’ll do whatever it takes to live as long as I can, I’ve set a target of seeing them through college. I’ve got to keep going for 17 years – until I’m 81, i must live to take care of my children” she says
It wasn’t easy for Lauren being an older mom; people used to mistake her for being her children’s grandmother but her oldest daughter Renee disowned her.Despite not being able to see her daughter and granddaughter she and her husband are thankful for the three children they have together. Motherhood is a miracle thing, people can stop it.
