Manchester United fans have been firmly against the Glazer Family ever since they bought the club in 2005, but they have been told a “seismic” takeover of the club could be in the pipeline.

Manchester United fans have been told the club’s takeover could be “coming very soon”.
The Red Devils have been up for sale since November 23, when the club announced it was “exploring strategic opportunities,” including its complete sale. Britain’s richest man Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Apple, and Amazon have all been touted as potential suitors for the club.
United fans were absolutely ecstatic when they found out the controversial Glazer family had put the club up for sale. And their levels of excitement could be set to rise even more, as United have been told their potential new owners are “coming very soon”.
David Ornstein of the Athletic said a takeover “could be coming very soon” before Manchester City’s away victory over Leeds United. When asked about the potential timeframe a takeover can be completed, Ornstein stated, “you will need to watch this space on a takeover because it could be coming very soon and it will be a seismic moment in the history of Manchester United.”
The Glazer family took over the club in 2005 in a leveraged buyout that still sees United lumbered with £514.9m worth of debt. The Raine Group, who are handling the potential sale of the club, have priced the Red Devils at around £6bn to £7bn.

The Athletic also understand the Raine Group are intending of completing a successful sale in the first financial quarter of 2023. While Ornstein may have suggested a successful takeover is on the horizon, United owner Avram Glazer did recently drop a hint of doubt about the club being sold.
He was confronted by reporters in Qatar during the World Cup. When asked about the possibility of United being sold, Glazer insisted they could still decide to keep the club.

“It’s not necessarily a sale,” Glazer said to a reporter in Qatar. “It’s a process and we’re going forward with the process, so we’ll see what happens.
“”I’m here to really watch the World Cup but I appreciate your interest. That’s the update, it’s the process and the process is proceeding.”
Christian Eriksen is putting up impressive assist numbers for Manchester United
Casemiro was Manchester United’s man of the match in the win over Nottingham Forest and rightly took the plaudits.
The Brazilian was outstanding, along with Marcus Rashford, who was hailed as ‘unstoppable’ by Erik ten Hag.
One player who was a little overshadowed amid the outpouring of praise, was Christian Eriksen.
The Dane provided a smart assist for Rashford’s opening goal of the game, with a corner-kick routine playing out to perfection.

Eriksen is putting up impressive assist numbers
Eriksen has quickly shaken off his World Cup disappointment, with a goal against Burnley and an assist against Nottingham Forest.
His whole performance against Forest was impressive, with 90 per cent of his passes completed and 85 touches in midfield.
Eriksen’s season numbers are looking good too. This season already he has seven assists for Manchester United in all competitions.
He leads United for assists, with Marcus Rashford next closest with four.
Five of Eriksen’s seven assists have come in the Premier League. Only Bukayo Saka (6) and Kevin de Bruyne (9) have more this season.
Eriksen has two goals so far this season, both of which came in his last three United matches.
Connection with Rashford reaping rewards
Three of Eriksen’s five Premier League assists have come for Marcus Rashford. This is a combination bettered only by De Bruyne to Erling Haaland (4).
It is fantastic to see how well Eriksen has settled at United, and his signing on a free transfer looks like a masterstroke.
Last season Manchester United’s assist leader was Bruno Fernandes with 14. Eriksen is on course to surpass these numbers if he carries on like this.
