Mike from Street Speed 717 shows off the custom green wrap he adds to his Z06 that gives the C8 a proper supercar appearance.
On YouTube channel Street Speed 717, Mike takes his Lamborghini in to remove the existing baby blue wrap on the car before revealing the custom color wrap added to his Chevrolet C8 Corvette Z06.
Check out the video to see the color get revealed on the Chevrolet Corvette and decide for yourself if this is a color that General Motors should add to the palette of exterior paint color options for the eighth generation of the sports car.
Custom-Color C8 Chevrolet Corvette Z06
The video starts with Mike driving his Lamborghini supercar and later removes a wrap from the Lamborghini, transforming the supercar from its baby blue wrap color back to its stock dark gray color.
The Lamborghini goes from attention-grabbing to stealthy with the color change, a clear visualization of the versatility of the design of the supercar. After pulling much of the wrap off, it is time to take a look at the reveal of the custom-color C8-generation Corvette.
Mike says it is likely the first custom-color C8 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, with the bright green color being unlike any that GM currently offers on the car, leading to the question of: “Why won’t GM do this?”. While the C8 Z06 does come in a variety of bright colors including shades of yellow, orange, red and blue, there is no green color option for the sports car for the 2023 model year live on the Chevrolet website.
Mike comments that the Z06 has a wider body appearance that has more of a supercar look compared to the stock Corvette Stingray, and perhaps it deserves a bright color like the custom wrap provides.

The Z06 has blacked-out badges along with yellow brake calipers, creating a colorful combination that blends well together. They compare the bright green wrap on the Z06 to a darker green on a Chevy Camaro, commenting that the green on the Corvette is more of a “supercar green” vs the darker shade on the Camaro that has more of a “muscle car green” look.
Mike adds that you can enter to win either his Ram TRX or 1,000 horsepower Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, the link to which is in the description of the YouTube video.
Later on, he takes the C8 Corvette Z06 out into the sunlight to see it in natural lighting and really embrace the color combination that the car now has. It’s a unique color combination that evokes feelings similar to what you’d see on a Lamborghini or other supercar and a departure from the more conventional color options that General Motors offers stock for the Z06.
Mike also goes over some of the green hues that GM built the Corvette in, across previous generations, with none being the type of green that the new wrap showcases.
