Tom Cruise infamously returned all his Golden Globes after the HFPA diversity controversy. Here’s how well the ‘Top Gun’ star has performed at the award show over the years.
At the upcoming 2023 Golden Globe Awards, Tom Cruise, 60, is nominated for one prize for his work as a producer on Top Gun: Maverick. However, Tom was passed over for the acting category, and supporters believe it was due of his response to the HFPA incident. You may recall that Tom gave back all of his Golden Globe awards in 2021 after it became known that there were no Black members of the HFPA, the organization of international journalists who cast the Golden Globes votes. Tom is one of the top celebrities nominated for the Golden Globes, which are returning to NBC on January 10 after being canceled in 2022.
Tom can add to his growing tally of Golden Globes at the 2023 ceremony. But will he keep the award, if he wins, or will he return it like he did with his past trophies? Either way, Tom’s enjoyed great success at the Golden Globes in his career, and we’ve got a full rundown of his total nominations and wins so far.
