In China, a 67-year-old lady is said to have given birth, with her spouse claiming to be the country’s oldest pair to ᴄᴏɴᴄᴇɪᴠᴇ naturally.
The retiree, Tian, gave birth to a healthy girl through Cᴀᴇsᴀʀᴇᴀɴ section on Friday, according to the Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital in Zaozhuang.
‘Heaven gave the kid on the two of us,’ Tian’s 68-year-old husband, Huang, told Chinese news website guancha.cn. If Tian’s claim is accurate, she might be the world’s oldest woman to give birth to a kid after naturally ᴄᴏɴᴄᴇɪᴠɪɴɢ, ʙʀᴇᴀᴋing the previous record holder by over ten years. Tian’s daughter was born weighing 2,560 kilos (5.6 pounds).
Tian told the Jinan Times that she found out she was pregnant when she went to the hospital for a health checkup, adding, “I didn’t want it at first.” Because Tian was already pregnant when she was admitted to the hospital, the hospital was unable to establish that she had ᴄᴏɴᴄᴇɪᴠᴇd naturally. According to the Global Times, the new baby girl’s name is Tianci, which means gift from heaven.’
Tian already had two children, according to the Chinese daily Jinan Times, including a son born in 1977, two years before China established a one-child policy to manage its rising population. Dawn Brooke, a retired civil servant from Guernsey, is now the world’s oldest natural mother, having been pregnant at the age of 58. Her ᴘᴀɪɴs, cravings, and tiredness were originally misinterpreted as ᴄᴀɴᴄᴇʀ symptoms. In 1997, Mrs Brooke gave birth to a boy through C-sᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ.
