Exclusive: Luis Guzmán reveals that Gomez Addams will return in season 2 of Wednesday, in which the patriarch will sword fight and dance.
Luiz Guzmán teases action for Gomez Adams, complete with dancing and a sword fight, in Wednesday season 2. In the first season, Gomez and Morticia brought Wednesday to their alma mater, Nevermore Academy. Wednesday solved a number of mysteries over the course of the season, including clearing Gome’s name of murder and destroying a centuries old enemy targeting her family. Gomez and Morticia weren’t heavily featured in the series, as it followed Wednesday at her new boarding school, but they did appear to drop her off and visit on Parents’ Weekend.

Wednesday was renewed for a second season, but details about the story have been kept under wraps. In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant to promote his episode of Poker Face, Guzmán teases what fans can expect from Gomez in the second season of Wednesday. Guzmán talked about dancing and sword fighting in Wednesday next season.

Luiz Guzmán: That’s the plan. That’s the plan. I’m going to dance; I’m going to have a sword fight. And there was one other thing. I don’t know what it was, but yeah.

What Addams Family Storylines Could We See In Wednesday Season 2?
The first season of Wednesday introduced a number of Adams family members, including Wednesday’s brother Pugsley, her parents, Uncle Fester, and Thing. It seems season 2 will further explore the famous Addams family. Gomez’s skills as a dancer and swordsman are interesting points to touch upon, because Wednesday herself has shown impressive ability with a sword and her dance has gone viral in and out of universe.
This could indicate that the new season will dive deeper into the family’s past, perhaps showing Wednesday learning from her father. It could also be an attempt by Gomez and Morticia to continue improving their relationship with Wednesday. It is possible that the Addams family will want to stay close after Wednesday was targeted by the Gates family due to their hatred of the Addams family (and of all Outcasts).
This could also be an indication that the second season of Wednesday will move beyond Nevermore Academy, possibly showing the Addams family home. Gomez and likely Morticia may become more involved in the story, an exciting possibility that could lead Wednesday to further develop her psychic abilities and reveal more about the Addams family. How the events of the first season will change Wednesday and her perception of her parents remains to be seen, but there are surely more of her parents’ secrets left to uncover.
