Paul Pogba’s relationship with his former Manchester United team-mates appears to be in good condition after some congratulated him on his first appearance of the season for Juventus.
Pogba made his long overdue second debut for the Italian giants in their 4-2 win over Torino on Tuesday evening after his return to the Old Lady was hampered by persistent injuries.
The midfielder left United as a free agent in the summer amid a wave of fury from club supporters after it emerged he rejected a lucrative contract offer to stay in Manchester.
But despite clashing with fans, he appears to have maintained a positive line of communication with his ex-colleagues after several of United’s current first-team stars sent him well wishes following his return.
Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Anthony Elanga, Bruno Fernandes and current Man United club captain Harry Maguire all commented on Pogba’s post-match Instagram post.

Pogba shared a series of images and videos on social media in the immediate aftermath of his first appearance of the season, captioned: ‘All smiles for tonight, so happy to be back. Thank you for the warm welcome’ alongside black and white heart emojis.
United winger Sancho showed his appreciation for the 29-year-old, commenting: ‘My brother, welcome back!’ next to a heart icon while club superstar Rashford posted a simple heart emoji.
Periphery Red Devils player Elanga used Pogba’s mother French tongue to wish him well, writing: ‘Le retour’ that translates to English as ‘the comeback’.
United skipper Maguire is clearly in good spirits after lifting the Carabao Cup at Wembley on Sunday and posted Pogba’s initials PP next to a heart emoji.
While United’s Portuguese playmaker Bruno Fernandes used Pogba’s marketing slogan ‘Pogback’, first coined when the Frenchman returned to Old Trafford, to wish him well.
Former Man United player Jesse Lingard – now at Nottingham Forest – also posted, writing: ‘Love it brother’.

The World Cup winning midfielder completed 22 minutes as he marked his 315 day return from injury as he starred in a short cameo as Juventus scored two more goals to win the match during his time on the pitch.
Pogba received a standing ovation from the Juventus faithful as he stepped onto the turf in the 69th minute to replace fellow Serie A debutant Enzo Barrenechea.
The Frenchman had previously come under fire from disgruntled club supporters after he was pictured enjoying some time on the ski slopes as he recovered from his long-term knee injury.
As a result, reports began stating that Pogba’s contract with the Italian giants could be terminated at the end of the 2022-2023 campaign.
