BMW iX M60: 3.8 seconds to a hundred, 619 hp, will reach Russia in the second quarter of 2022.
The «charged» version of the electric crossover premiered at the CES exhibition in Las Vegas (USA).
It became the fastest «green» car brand, its maximum speed is 250 km/h.
Bavarians began test assembly of the BMW iNext in August 2019, and in November 2020 there were official images of the crossover, which has already been named iX.
The full premiere of the brand’s new model took place in early summer 2021, production at the plant in Dingolfing (Germany) started later that year.
Now the company has declassified the next novelty — the «charged» electric crossover BMW iX M60.
Premiere of the novelty took place during the CES exhibition, which traditionally takes place at the beginning of the year in Las Vegas (USA).
The «hot» electric crossover on which branch M has worked out, has some visual distinctions from the «usual» BMW iX.
Thus, on the luggage door you can find a nameplate with the name of the version — M60, in addition, the car has received 21-inch two-color wheels (optional 22-inch «rollers»), still a model equipped with blue calipers brake system M Sport.
Inside, there are seats with integrated headrests, curved front panel (diagonal of virtual «dashboard» — 12.3 inches, the screen of infotainment system — 14.9 inches), hexagonal steering wheel, and anthracite headliner.
The crossover has no center tunnel: a flat floor gives extra legroom for the driver and passengers.
The list of standard equipment includes laser headlights, extended heating package, driver and front passenger seat ventilation, etc.
The BMW iX M60 is powered by a twin-engine propulsion system (one electric motor on each axle).
The output of the rear motor is 489 hp, the front motor is 258 hp. The total capacity of this system is 619 hp and maximum torque is 1015 Nm.
This electric crossover needs 3.8 seconds to accelerate from a place to a «hundred».
The top speed is 250 km/h: this figure is 50 km/h higher than that of the BMW iX xDrive50, so the M-version is now the fastest electric car of the Bavarian brand.
The crossover iX M60 is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 111.5 kWh (useful capacity — 105.2 kWh).
The battery can be «topped up» to 80 percent in about 35 minutes using a 10 percent quick-charge station.
The BMW iX M60 has a maximum range of 566 km (calculated using the WLTP cycle).
As told in the local BMW office, the first Russian buyers iX M60 will receive their cars in the second quarter of 2022.
The novelty will reach the U.S. market in June this year, the starting price tag for the States has already been announced — the purchase will cost at least $106,095 (equivalent to about 8.04 million rubles at current exchange rates).
The «regular» all-electric BMW iX crossover is offered in Russia now, its price in our market starts at 8.5 million rubles.
We remind, it is offered in the only modification xDrive50, its power of installation makes 523 h.p., and the maximum range — 630 km.
