A MUM who feared she was infertile after suffering two miscarriages and being diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome discovered she was pregnant with TRIPLETS right before she was due to start IVF treatment.
Stefanie Latcham, 27, and her fiance Michael Gough, 30, were seeking help with fertility after trying to get pregnant for two years.
Stefanie Latcham, 27, and her fiance Michael Gough, 30, had been trying to have a baby for two years before conceiving identical triplets
The couple, from Ferryfill, Durham, were delighted to find they had naturally conceived triplets when they arrived home from a holiday to Spain last year.
The mum – who already had son and suffers from PCOS – was ecstatic to learn she was expecting identical triplets.
Although IVF increases your chance of having twins, identical triples occurs just once in every 200 million births.
Delighted by the news, Stefanie and Michael’s family doubled in size on 30 March 2019 when their daughters Ollie-Anna, Isabella and Brianna were born.

The new parents are now sharing their story in the hopes that it will give other couples struggling with fertility hope.
Stephanie said: “We never imagined our baby dream would come true naturally and while we were on holiday.
“I’d suffered two miscarriages in the past and after being diagnosed with PCOS, I thought they only way for us to have our own baby was through IVF.”
As PCOS can affect how often a woman ovulates, sufferers are often given a medication called clomifene which encourages the monthly release of an egg from the ovaries.
However, the couple had resigned themselves to IVF after suffering two miscarriages.

Stephanie continued: “Three weeks after we came home, I found out I was pregnant on September 30, we were in such shock, it was incredible!
“We were about to start our first round of IVF, so to know that we didn’t have to do that after trying for so long gave us a feeling I can hardly describe.
“The first scan in October showed us baby one, two weeks later baby two and a week after that there was baby three, It was the best feeling in the world knowing I was carrying three miracles after everything we had been through – it finally happened to us.”
The couple’s holiday was made all the more special by the fact that Michael had popped the question days before they found out the happy news.

Now that they’re proud parents to three baby girls, the mum added: “Life is hectic now, but I would not have it any other way, we have a good routine in place, they go for feeds every four hours and in those four hours we have to feed, burp, change, play with them and get them to sleep.
“When all of that is done, we start again, we’re lucky to get an hour out each time for ourselves!”
Michael continued: “Having three new-borns in the space of seven months is both wonderful and scary at the same time, Steph always said that she wanted a ‘Home Alone’ family and after longing for just one child, finally getting three is amazing.
“We were blessed with these for a reason. We were told that there is a one in 200 million chance of identical triplets, we feel incredibly lucky.”

What’s more, Stephanie also went into labour on the very same day Michael picked up the keys to their new home.
The couple have also bought a seven-seater car to cart the family around in.
Stephanie added: “My older son loves the triplets, he will often help by bouncing the girls when they get stressed – we also get great support from mine and Michael’s parents, I couldn’t thank them enough.”
Michael joked: “Neither of us have a clue what we’re doing here, but It’s certainly been quite a journey getting our perfect not-so-little family together.”
