The couple sat their kids down and told them they had a big secret
Mom Zoe Sullivan, from Lossiemouth, Moray, is pregnant with her 12th child – and says she “wants to keep going forever”.
Zoe, 43, and husband Ben, 46, said some of their children, aged three to 16, were very disappointed – because they thought they were about to be told about a trip to Disneyland. But instead, they found out that they were going to have a new brother or sister next April. One of the young people shouted “not the other one”. And the youngest, three-year-old Joseph, was a little annoyed.
But Zoe thought he was quick to come up with the idea. She said: “Joseph was a stuck-up kid and didn’t like new things or people. “He won’t even wear his new coat now.” But he is happy and says he loves the baby now. Let’s see what it will be like when it arrives. “The rest are on the moon. The older girls and I had a shopping trip and they were picking out baby clothes.” RAF engineers Ben and Zoe managed to keep it a secret alone for 14 weeks.
But as soon as the mother was returned from the first scan, she revealed it all in a family meeting. They also announced the news to friends and relatives and did not have any extreme reactions.
Zoe said: “We had a great response, lots of lovely comments. It’s really very good. “They already knew we were crazy. Nothing shocks them anymore.” The children are Elisabeth, 16, Olivia, 15, twins Charlotte and Isabelle, 13, Noah, 11, and Evangeline, 10.
Making up the rest of the family is eight-year-old Tobias, twins Leah and Erin, five, Agnes, four, and Joseph, three. They live in a four-bedroom house with mom and dad in one room, the three boys in another, and the girls are divided by age in the last two sᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴs. Zoe, who wakes up at 4.45am to prepare packed lunches and spends £1,200 a month on food, has never hesitated about wanting another child. “I think for us, family is everything,” she said. Everything we do revolves around them. ”
Why wouldn’t you want more to bring on to the team? It’s all a lot of fun and brings a lot of happiness and joy. It makes sense for us.” But around this time, it took her about two years to get pregnant, and she was constantly sick. She admits that there’s a chance this could be her last trip to the maternity hospital.
Zoe added: “I never say never, but we’re both older now and this period is much more worth the wait. “I don’t know. I want to keep going forever. But I don’t know if this could be our last.”
