Bᴏᴅɪᴇs of woman go through a lot of changes during pregnancy, but one woman’s baby bump has people ᴛᴀʟᴋɪɴɢ the world-over. Michella Meier-Morsi, from Copenhagen, Denmark, stunned the internet after she shared images of her growing stomach to Instagram, which grew ‘straight out’ rather than ‘up and down.’
Michella Meier-Morsi, from Copenhagen, Denmark, who already had two daughters with her husband, Mark, welcomed her three sons – named Charles, Theodore and Gabriel – on January 15 via cesarean section when she was just over 35 weeks pregnant. In one post shared three days before she gave birth, Michella admitted that she ‘did not feel ready’ to welcome three new kids. She wrote:” I seriously do not feel ready for three babies. I naively thought that I would get ready at some point – that I would feel a joy that the pregnancy is coming to an end and that we should finally meet our trio.”
In a video posted the night before she gave birth to her three baby boys, which has wracked up thousands of likes and comments, she also admitted that she was ‘ɪɴsᴀɴᴇʟʏ sᴄᴀʀᴇᴅ.’ She said:” It feels so unreal to have to have three babies [coming] and it’s like my ʜᴇᴀᴅ can not handle it. I simply can not imagine it or them. ‘Instead, it rolls around with ugly thoughts. Can I do it? Can they do it? But luckily I know that the only thing that matters to me tomorrow is whether the boys are doing well. And on that front, I can throw my arms up – because we did! We have been holding on to them for over 35 weeks. And then we can not really do more than hope for the best.”
On the 16th of January, she has had a ʟᴏɴɢᴇsᴛ ʟᴀʙᴏʀ which she calls ‘ᴡɪʟᴅᴇsᴛ’ post which it’s been difficult for her to even ʙʀᴇᴀᴛʜᴇ normally. In the end, Michella said it was all ‘worth it’ and said that her heart was ‘bursting with happiness and love’ over her three new babies. She gushed on Instagram:” There is emptiness in my stomach, but my heart and my arms have never been so full of love and happiness. The boys are absolutely amazing! That’s how easy it can be summed up. They are mild and mega cool and we are completely in love. It’s hardly any surprise that we are in the most wonderful baby bubble.”
Ten days after childbirth, she shared a picture of her receded belly with a ʙʟᴀᴄᴋ ᴍᴀʀᴋ on it. Michella took to her IG handle to say it’s exciting and nerve wracking to see how her body plans to heal. The video on tik tok has fetched a whooping 14 million plus views. Experts say this is a condition called Dɪᴀsᴛᴀsɪs Rᴇᴄᴛɪ where the left and right abdominal muscles separate to make more room for the lower belly with a ᴘʀᴏᴛʀᴜᴅɪɴɢ ᴜᴛᴇʀᴜs and is completely normal despite some minor ᴄᴏᴍᴘʟɪᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴs.
She also opened up about the struggles of raising five children at once. She said:” Oh how I have cried and felt divided, tired, overwhelmed and giving up the last few days. It is indescribably hard to have two three-year-olds and three ᴘʀᴇᴍᴀᴛᴜʀᴇ babies. Much harder than I had imagined. My daughter are ᴀɴɢʀʏ, ᴅᴇꜰɪᴀɴᴛ, enormously bored, and simply unruly and rude . They miss us and definitely feel let down to some degree. And it’s completely understandable. So I sit split back between two sets of kids and two different needs. I want to go home to my girls, give them love and security and a fixed framework . And I want to give the boys the best start in life and myself the best start in childbirth and breastfeeding. The two things just can not be done at the same time.”
