She made the whole place shimmer.
Taylor Swift polishes up real nice.
The singer made a shimmering red-carpet arrival at last night’s MTV Europe Music Awards in Düsseldorf, Germany, where she wore a totally “Bejeweled” look.
Her glittering David Koma gown stole the show, with its sleek black bustier and see-through net skirt composed of an interlocking web of silver and emerald crystals. The dress, which was a custom look based on a different piece from the brand’s fall/winter 2023 collection, apparently holds a deeper meaning that pays homage to the late Queen Elizabeth II. CNN reported that the emerald-toned jewels were modeled off the monarch’s own emerald collection.
To finish the ensemble, Swift stepped out in black velvet slingbacks from Giuseppe Zanotti, as well as an array of enchanting silver jewelry pieces from brands like Delfina Delettrez, Anita Ko, and Repossi.
As for glam, Swift wore a tight bun with blown-out bangs and rosy makeup with a dark blue shadow and cat eye “sharp enough to kill a man.”
Inside the venue, Swift changed into yet another sparkling ensemble. Again opting for a David Koma creation, the “Anti-Hero” singer dazzled in a metallic crystal embroidery polo minidress, which she paired with silver Jimmy Choo platform sandals.
Swift became the night’s top-winning artist, ultimately garnering four awards for Best Artist, Best Video, Best Pop, and Best Longform Video for “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version).”
“Sometimes I think about all the way in which this short film and this moment almost never happened,” Swift said during her acceptance speech for the music video for “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version).” “The fans willed this to happen.”
