Jason Statham‘s stunt double was shot at by a balaclava-clad villain holding a gun as they filmed an exciting car chase, in north Yorkshire on Tuesday.

Noticeably the biggest stars of the movie — Statham, Dwayne Johnson and Idris Elba — were absent from the disused power station setting.

The body double looked tense behind the wheel of a 4×4 when he broke away from three Land Rovers and a motorbike during a dramatic chase sequence.

Statham’s stunt partner was driving a blonde beauty to safety as he was being shot at by the assassin leaning out of one of the Land Rovers.

The Fate of the Furious, or Fast 8, will be followed up with the spin-off movie depicting the relationship between Jason’s character Deckard and Luke Hobbs.
