According to Goal, Manchester United is reportedly looking to step up its efforts to recruit Chelsea and Liverpool star Mason Mount this summer.
The 24-year-old, who went through the Blues development system, has established himself as a crucial member of Chelsea’s starting lineup and has recently assisted his team in winning the Champions League, European Super Cup, and Club World Cup.
Yet it appears that the midfielder’s time at Stamford Bridge is drawing to a close. Talks on a new contract have stalled as Mount has 15 months left on his current agreement and it has been stated that Chelsea is not willing to match Mount’s salary demands.
The likelihood that the Blues will offload their recent academy graduate before his value drops sharply is rising. Liverpool and Manchester United are standing by to take advantage of this predicament and purchase the midfielder at a bargain price this summer.
Goal said that Man Utd is ‘focused’ on luring Mount away from Chelsea Bridge and is eager to improve their engine room this summer.
The report claims that Man United won’t have an easy time signing the England international since Liverpool are also interested in signing him and have already had ‘good’ discussions with the player’s representation about a prospective transfer.
No matter if he signs a new contract in the next months, it has been said that Chelsea will not let their star player to depart for a pittance since they want up to £70 million.
Mount, who has already demonstrated his value at the top level during his time at Chelsea, would be a great signing if either club could reach an agreement on a contract this summer. This is because both Man United and Liverpool are aiming to enhance their midfield departments.
Yet, the гᴜmогed £70 million fee seems excessive for a player who is expected to become free in a year and is worth about £57 million according to Transfermarkt. So, Man Utd or Liverpool will try to convince the West London team to decrease their asking price in order to close the transaction for a fair price.
If Manchester United and Liverpool decide to compete with one another for the signing of Mount at the end of this season, it will be interesting to see who prevails.
Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag may need stern Alejandro Garnacho talks after latest development
Alejandro Garnacho is under the direction of Erik ten Hag, manager of Manchester United.
Alejandro Garnacho, a star for Manchester United, has once more ruffled Barcelona’s feathers on social media. The 18-year-old angered the Catalan powerhouses in February when he seemed to make fun of Pedri following a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford. The teenager is trying to avoid getting a bad name for himself, so Erik ten Hag may give him a severe talking to about his most recent shenanigans.
When United defeated Barcelona 2-1 in February with goals from Fred and Antony, Garnacho couldn’t help but make fun of Pedri.
The Argentine enraged the Catalan giants by imitating the Spain international’s binoculars goal celebration.
Garnacho has since resumed his attack.
Shortly after Barcelona’s crushing 4-0 Copa del Rey loss to Real Madrid on Wednesday night, the United youth added salt to Barcelona’s wounds on Instagram.
In a post by Vinicius Jr. of the Los Blancos, a star player, Garnacho responded “normal,” along with laughing emojis.
And that’s brought forth a response, with many of the teen’s supporters criticizing him for his antics and making it obvious they disapprove of his post.
Of course, there is nothing wrong with enjoying yourself on social media. particularly if you’re a teenager.
But, Garnacho is making unneeded headlines about himself, and Ten Hag would be wise to step in to prevent the United star from making him a target.
After arriving late during the team’s preseason trip in Thailand and Australia, the forward earned Ten Hag’s ire at the start of the season.
Garnacho also required instruction for his conduct during training, as the child would occasionally wander around Carrington with his laces undone.
There was also the vpe incident from last month.
Garnacho posted a picture of himself watching United defeat Fulham 3-1 in the FA Cup after being absent due to injuries.
Fans noticed a vɑpe after he posted a picture of himself with his feet up on a couch, but the United forward deleted the photograph and re-uploaded it with the thing removed.
Garnacho gave the reason that a family member owned the vaporizer.
Yet, it still caused a minor commotion, and by erasing the photo, he appeared to be aware that he would be in trouble.
