In a heartbreaking incident, a small puppy was dumped on church property in Weslaco, TX. The puppy was extremely sick, weak, and dehydrated, and couldn’t even walk. Luckily, a kind lady crept onto the property and took the puppy home to save its life. If it wasn’t for her, the puppy would have died in the scorching heat or been deliberately run over by one of the church’s parishioners.
The woman contacted Kelly Canine Care Center, a local rescue organization, for assistance, who picked up the puppy and took her to Vergi for first aid. They named the puppy Breezy, and despite the odds stacked against her, she fought hard to survive.
Breezy was weak and tiny, just waiting for death to take her, but her rescuer and the team at Kelly Canine Care Center were determined to help her recover. Her rescuer said, “We’re here to assist her and give her all the help she needs to regain her health and mobility.”
With good nutrition and rehabilitation sessions with foster mom Kelly Halker, Breezy started to make progress. Just two weeks later, Breezy was making great gains in her mobility, and her little body was starting to show signs of recovery.
A month later, the staff at Kelly Canine Care Center were delighted to see that Breezy was feeling much better and was starting to act like a healthy puppy.
The team at Kelly Canine Care Center expressed their gratitude to everyone who contributed to their rescue efforts, saying, “Without you, these infants would not be starting their best lives. Everyone needs a confidante; just ask foster puppies Breezy and Kobe!”
Breezy’s story is a reminder that every animal deserves love, care, and compassion, no matter how small or sick they may be. It also highlights the importance of rescue organizations and individuals who go out of their way to help animals in need.
In conclusion, life isn’t so scary when you have a big friend to help you along the way. Breezy’s story is a testament to the resilience and fighting spirit of animals, and we should all strive to be like the kind lady who saved her life and the dedicated team at Kelly Canine Care Center who helped her recover. Let’s all do our part in making the world a better place for animals.
