With a day off from watching World Cup action, Phil Foden decided to entertain himself by enjoying a fishing trip while on holiday in Spain.
The Manchester City starlet soaked up the sun and warm weather with his close friends on Friday by going down to the Rio Ebro Chiprana near Zaragoza, known for its huge catfish.
And it appears as if the 18-year-old – one of the brightest prospects in English football – enjoyed an extremely successful time at fishing, taking to Instagram to show off his massive catches in Spain.

On Friday, Foden took to Instagram to upload pictures of the catfish and carp that he captured
Foden uploaded five pictures from his fishing trip for his 239,000 Instagram followers all to see, which show off the huge catfish and carp he captured while on holiday.
The highly-rated youngster, who had previously enjoyed a trip to Russia to take in the World Cup surroundings, captioned his popular social media post: ‘Enjoying my time at fishing’.
The catfish was introduced to the Ebro in the Seventies and it has prospered for three reasons.
The water is warmer than in its native rivers, so it feeds and grows without pause for winter; a live fish is worth more to the tourist trade than a dead one, meaning most fishing is catch-and-release and finally, the river is full of food.
This all allows the catfish, which feeds off pigeons and ducks, to reach a phenomenal size.

On record, one catfish weighed in at an impressive 245lb (17.5st), and there had been nearly 130 catches of fish topping 200lb.
Meanwhile, the Stockport-born attacking midfielder will be hoping his success continues when he returns to the football pitch once again for pre-season at City.
City manager Pep Guardiola is a huge admirer and blooded Foden on a number of occasions during last season’s Premier League winning campaign.
City will be holding talks with Foden’s representatives soon to thrash out terms on a new deal that is expected to double his £20,000-per-week salary.
He is under contract until 2020 but the club are eager to secure the wonderkid on a fresh long-term deal.
