Hippopotamuses are among the largest animals on Earth, and also known for their fierce, aggressive personalities.
At times, however, hippos can be very devoted guardians of their herds. This has been demonstrated through a story of another hippo protecting its herd from two leopard attacks.
Legend has it that one day, a female hippopotamus was swimming with her calf in a river when a leopard suddenly appeared and attacked the young hippo. Without hesitation, another hippo rushed to the scene and used its strength to defeat the ferocious predator.
However, less than an hour later, another leopard attacked the baby hippo once again. This time, the same hippo rushed to fight and protect the calf once more.
With their enormous strength and fierce personality, the hippo was able to defeat two leopards and protect their herd from attack. This demonstrates the dedication and courage of the mother hippo in the face of danger to protect her calf.
