The toughness of buffalo is well known. They have no ғᴇᴀʀ of anything and are large, strong, and aggressive. But this video demonstrates the courage these creatures possess when given the chance.
The video shows the entire herd uniting to protect a family member from a lioness. This is one of those rare occasions where you can witness nature in its most unadulterated and breathtaking state – where animals cooperate for the sake of their own existence.
South Luangwa National Park in Zᴀᴍʙɪᴀ is where this amazing video was shot. It ends on a pleasant note. The lioness finally backs off from ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋing the buffalo because she appears to be afraid of the 200 other buffaloes who had arrived to protect their own.
Lions live in groups which are called prides. The center of a pride is made up of lionesses and their offspring, and male lions reside apart from them. Each lion has a specific job to play within the complicated social structure of the pride. The males search for food for themselves and their family group while defending their territory from rival prides. They are also in charge of defending cubs from other predators like hyenas and rival males.
Let’s take a look at this special moment:
