Neymar looks set to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season after six years in the French capital with the club eager to overhaul the squad.
The decision comes amid a tumultuous campaign for PSG where the former Barcelona star may have already played his last game for the club after suffering an ankle injury in March.
PSG supporters have demanded he be moved on this summer, shouting ‘Neymar get lost’ during protests outside the club’s headquarters, having also gathered outside the player’s house.
Reports in Brazil claim Neymar is now ready to move and is interested in the possibility of playing in England, having been strongly linked with moves to Chelsea and Manchester United in the past.
Newcastle United are now also among the sides credited with interest but former Arsenal captain Silva believes his countryman should push for a move to north London.
‘The last few weeks at PSG have been very strange for Neymar. Seeing people go to his house; I don’t agree with this, fans are not allowed to go to a player’s house to protest,’ Silva told casinosite.nl.

‘This can turn into a nightmare because it is dangerous and it is not nice. I hope it does not happen again with him or any other player.
‘Everyone knows the quality of Neymar, I don’t need to speak about his quality.
‘I love the way he plays and I would love to see him at Arsenal instead of Newcastle because I love the boy as a player, but he also has a lot to contribute to football.
‘He’s suffered some injury problems which have made life hard for him, but he has so much more to offer any football club.
‘How would he fit in? Well, this would be a great task for Mikel! We have to wait and see, I don’t want to talk about a player who is still contracted to PSG.’
