Hyundai Palisade 2022. The large crossover Hyundai Palisade was first introduced in the United States in 2018, where it was announced as a replacement for the Grand Santa Fe (in the States, the Santa Fe XL).
The car received a basic eight-seat cabin and a large luggage compartment of 510 liters, that is, immediately «aimed» primarily at the American market, not excluding China from the field of vision.
Today Hyundai Palisade 2022 model year is on sale in Russia, where it is considered the flagship model lineup and the most expensive car of the Korean brand.
Review
In length the new Hyundai Palisade 2022 has not quite reached the mark in 5 meters (4981 mm), but even without this it looks pretty big, promising a high level of comfort for all passengers, including those who will be placed on the three-seater «galley».
But the psychological mark most likely will be passed, as Koreans actively prepare updating of the model, and the bumpers will be definitely changed on test copies.
This is indicated by the camouflage covers, which adorn the test cars. However, they also hint at the fact that we should not expect major exterior updates for Korean flagship.
Body
Camouflage hides the future radiator grille of the car, which can speak about high probability of appearance of the front mask in the style of actual Tucson and Santa Cruz.
Melding with the headlights, it looks quite original, but the designers will apparently have to keep the running light strips, which are a distinctive feature of the 2022 Hyundai Palisade.
At the rear, restyling will also take place classically: it will include a change of the bumper and optics (possibly only its «stuffing»).
What we can say for sure is only about the appearance of square exhaust pipes, which can be easily found on the test cars.
Interior
The interior of the cabin for the 2022 Hyundai Palisade crossover was developed from scratch, so there is no reason to change it completely theoretically.
This quite correlates with the rumors that restyling will only affect the equipment, and the main update will be the infotainment system display, which will increase in size and get expanded functionality.
New colors of leather upholstery are also likely to appear in the cabin.
Technical stuffing
In Russia, Korean full-size SUV sold in two basic modifications, both with automatic 8-speed transmission.
As the base motor is defined as a 2.2-liter turbodiesel in-line «four» capacity of 200 hp. (441 Nm), and one step higher is a gasoline «six» 3.5 MPI with taxable 249 hp. (336 Nm).
All versions have the HTRAC all-wheel drive system with electronically controlled multi-plate clutch.
By the way, in other markets 4×4 chassis is available as an option, and the basic crossovers remain front-wheel drive.
Modifications and options of the current generation
Russian dealers Hyundai offer for SUV Hyundai Palisade 4 packages of equipment: Lifestyle, Prestige, High-Tech and Cosmos.
Initial execution can please with 6 airbags, leather interior, three-zoned climate, heated seats on the first and second rows, 8-inch screen of multimedia, heated steering wheel system, parktronic, rear view camera, keyless access and 18-inch «alloys».
