A 26-year-old Brampton couple spontaneously had two sets of twins born nine months apart in one year. Quadruple the trouble and quadruple the love.
Reva Marie Nicholson got the sʜᴏᴄᴋ of her life when she discovered she was pregnant with twins for the second time. The 26-year-old mom and her husband are now very busy in their daily lives, but as they say, “happier than ever!”
In February 2022, Nicholson and her husband, Romaine Maurice McFarlane, welcomed their first child into the world, who was born 3 months earlier than expected at 27 weeks.
Nicholson’s ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ ʙʀᴏᴋᴇ at just 27 weeks. Luckily, she says she was near the local hospital when it happened. “Police officers on bicycles escorted us over,” she said. Just like that, baby girl Kyra and baby boy Shamar were welcomed into the world.
Little Kyra and Shamar spent the first few weeks of their lives in the neonatal intensive care unit, but as their health improved day by day, they soon returned home.
A month after their arrival, Nicholson discovered she was pregnant again. What she didn’t expect at all, however, was that she would have twins for the second time!
Mya and Moriah, who would normally have been born in January 2023, were born prematurely in November 2022. Four babies in one year. The happy parents say the little girls remain in the NICU, and the couple has been back and forth between the hospital and home for the past month, but everything is looking like the twins will quickly go home and meet their brothers.
Despite the craziness at home, Nicholson and her husband are overjoyed: “There is no greater blessing! We are very lucky.”
