The Avengers: Endgame actor, Jeremy Renner, has been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since its advent era, and to date holds a place within the MCU as one of the surviving original six.
The Academy Award-nominated actor has been a crucial part of the developing arc of Marvel for most part of the past decade. As such, his step up into Phase Four was a happy recollection of the nostalgia-driven trip down memory lane for a single Avenger taking down an underground crime lord.

However, as the world celebrated the new year outside, the Hawkeye actor barely escaped intact after a snow plow incident put Jeremy Renner’s life under critical condition.
Jeremy Renner Subdued By the Harsh Snow of Reno
The Mayor of Kingstown actor, Jeremy Renner, was reported to have suffered some weather-related incident early on January 1, 2023. The actor was represented by a spokesperson who informed via Deadline about the status of Renner’s current condition. The representative relayed that the actor is “in critical but stable condition” and that the accident occurred “after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier [on Sunday]. His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.”

The actor was reportedly at his Reno home located approximately 25 miles away from the city near the ski mountains, Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe. The local outlet, Reno Gazette-Journal also reported a harsh snowstorm hitting the nearby landscape and neighboring towns on New Year’s Eve that affected almost 35,000 homes across the region of Northern Nevada.
Jeremy Renner Set to Return to Marvel in Phase Five & Six?
After the deadly accident, it is unlikely to see The Hurt Locker actor up and at ’em first thing in the morning but one thing’s for sure. The Avenger actor will be returning once he’s well enough to operate like his usual hyperactive self. The upcoming saga which starts with February’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will witness the Multiverse coming into play at the centerfold of the plot arcs.

While bows and arrows may not do much against time-traveling conquerors of universes, the gusto, experience, and expertise that comes with one of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s long-serving agent and survivor of the apocalyptic Snap and its aftermath, the Blip, is something that may available only in trace amounts in the new and young characters entering the field. In a case such as this, not only could Clint Barton aka Hawkeye return to mentor Marvel’s up-and-coming Avengers of the present Saga but also take up a much more stable, behind-the-desk job at the Marvel HQ that requires his expertise only behind the scenes.
Jeremy Renner, who is currently on the way to getting better by the minute, is currently busy with Taylor Sheridan’s Mayor of Kingstown and was last seen within the MCU in his solo Phase Four Disney+ series, Hawkeye.
