This tree looks like it’s come straight out of some amazing fantasy novel and it will stun you before gobbling you all up. If you thought this was an animator’s dream or some experiment with the fantasy world then you thought wrong. This tree is real. Very, very real. The gigantic man/human shaped tree actually exists in a forest in Bulgaria. The tree often surprises visitors when they see it for the first time and is quite a tourist attraction as many people visit the forest just for a glimpse of the tree. The tree is found right in the heart of the Balkan mountains in Bulgaria and was initially discovered by hikers and walkers through the forest.

For many, the tree reminds them of the living trees found in the Lord of the Ring book and movie series. According to them, it looks exactly like Treebeard the Ent! There have been many studies on the tree too but no one quite knows as to why the tree has taken on the shape it has. It is perfectly formed in the shape of a human – it has a head, a torso, 2 hands (or tree limbs) and 2 gigantic legs – giving the tree a look like it’s about to walk to you and give you a handshake! Quite a scary moment that would be!

While talking to the DailyMail, Deyan Kossev said, “I was walking through the mountains when suddenly I spotted him. I was speechless and stopped in my tracks. It was surreal, it looks exactly like a man does. It has the legs, arms, body and head of a man and they are all in proportion too. Nobody knows why it has grown into such a bizarre formation. People seem to be speechless when they see it. It’s unusual to see it in such a human shape. It looks like the Ent Treebeard from The Lord of The Rings. These photos were taken in the central Balkan Mountains, deep in a forest.” Quite amazing so see such a gorgeous and yet scary (imagine seeing a silhouette of the tree late in the evening) tree in existence!

There are many famous differently shaped trees that are love by nature enthusiasts. A wide variety of each type and spread all over, these trees are so mesmerising that you could sit staring at them for hours! The General Sherman tree of California is the largest tree in the world and what’s more, it’s ancient – atleast 200 years old! Another tree, known as the Tree of Tenere is known to be the most isolated tree as it sits all alone in the middle of a parched land with nothing – not even a shrub in sight for 250 miles! In Bahrain, there’s a tree known as the Tree of Life. This tree grows in the middle of a dessert and as stumped experts as to how does it get water and nourishment from! The tree is the only living thin in the entire dessert!
