Our man Rostislav Prokop has created the most practical and outrageous Toyota truck out there with this J200 Land Cruiser 6X6 pickup.
The world of pickup trucks is crazy. Just like how supercars are to the performance world, 6X6 pickups are to the trucking fraternity. It’s insane, outlandish, and guaranteed head-turners. And so, our in-house magician, Rostislav Prokop, has created the perfect balance of function and insanity with the Toyota Land Cruiser 6X6.
This rendering beautifully explores how a J200 Series Land Cruiser would fan out with an extra axle and a lot more brawn. Prokop has made our 6X6 Land Cruiser off-road-ready thanks to steep custom front and rear bumpers and chunky off-roading tires on all sixes.
The LED game is strong here with three light bars to make night drives on beaten paths a breeze. And under the twin-scoop custom hood lies a surprise as well. The only factory 6X6 pickup ever is the Mercedes-AMG G63 6X6, and it has become a wild icon. But this outlandish Mercedes-Benz truck was created for the ultra-rich with a price tag of half-a-million dollars when new.
If Toyota were to ever create a 6X6 pickup, the Land Cruiser would be the perfect donor, and Prokop’s visualization would be the way to go. And that’s because this HotCars Official Land Cruiser 6X6 render fuses brutish form, impressive function, and rich heritage together in one “affordable” package.
This Land Cruiser 6X6 Design Is An Awesome Blend Of Form And FunctionHotCars | Rotislav Prokop
Our in-house render wizard Rostislav Prokop took the iconic J200 Land Cruiser and converted it into a practical 6X6 pickup. Oh! But don’t get into the assumption that this is a “humble” pickup! Prokop, apart from adding an extra rear axle, has also elevated the visual appeal of this monstrous Land Cruiser.
The only place where you will find similarities to a standard Toyota Land Cruiser SUV is on the front fascia. It retains the headlamp assembly; that’s about it! Prokop has meticulously transformed every other body panel on this 6X6 Land Cruiser with custom parts. The front fascia is beefed-up with a custom off-road bumper with an integrated light bar.
There are two other light bars on the roof for all the night visibility you will ever need! Prokop has swapped the front grille for a custom one that is inspired by the one found on the Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road. Our 6X6 Land Cruiser flaunts a custom hood with two scoops and hides a beastly engine (more on that later).
Coming to the side, Prokop reminds us once again that this 6X6 Toyota is all show, and all go as well. It gets chunky wheel arches that add more muscle and gives it an off-road-ready stance. These chunky plastic claddings look especially cool over the rear double axle layout.
HotCars | Rotislav ProkopThis 6X6 Land Cruiser gets custom wheels wrapped with chunky off-road-ready tires. And it is not going to shy away from the path less traveled. Prokop has sliced off everything behind the Land Cruiser’s second row and grafted in a short bed. It gets a custom rack that starts from the center of the bed and goes all the way up to the roof before joining the dual LED strips for the front lighting.
The roof area is reserved for storing cargo because the bed has been taken up by a set of full-sized spare tires. Prokop has slapped on the stock LED tail lamps on the tailgate, and it looks cool. The “Toyota” and “Land Cruiser” badges have also been unchanged from the Toyota SUV. The rear bumper is also rugged and off-road-vibing as the front. Adding more brawn is a dual exhaust setup.
The HotCars Exclusive Toyota Land Cruiser 6X6 by Rostislav Prokop is ready to take on the unknown in style. And the cool split dual-tone paint job clearly portrays its two-faced character.
This Toyota Land Cruiser Is Worthy Of A Beastly Twin-Turbo V8HotCars | Rotislav Prokop
We all know that Toyota’s iconic 5.7-Liter naturally-aspirated V8 is a reliable and bulletproof engine. In the SUV this engine pumps out 381 hp and 401 lb-ft of torque via an eight-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels. But this setup will make our monster Land Cruiser a sloth!
So, sneaking in two feisty turbos in this 6X6 Toyota pickup is the right thing to do. And it will provide ample muscle to bump things up to the 600 hp mark. Also fortifying the transmission is a two-speed transfer car which will help this behemoth crawl up challenging surfaces with ease.
Our Land Cruiser 6X6 Vs Mercedes-AMG G 63 6X6HotCars | Rotislav Prokop, Mercedes-Benz
The only other outrageous and equally practical 6X6 pickup that we have out there is the Mercedes-AMG G 63 6X6. Built on the legendary G-Class, the 6X6 is the off-roading monster for the ultra-rich.
There are only just over 100 units of the 6X6 G-Class around the world. And powering this beast is a 5.5-Liter Biturbo V8 pumping out 544 hp and 562 lb-ft of torque. When new, this bad boy was priced at $615,000! And a used AMG G-Class 6X6 sells for an average of $1 million!
But our practical 6X6 Land Cruiser is not reserved for the ultra-rich. It is possible to have a brawny, outlandish, and impressively reliable 6X6 Toyota pickup truck for one-third the MSRP of a Merc-AMG G63 6X6! Now that’s a steal, right?! And Toyota can actually make it happen! And we bet that a 6X6 Land Cruiser will be the most value-for-money insanity out there!
Toyota Should Seriously Make A Land Cruiser 6X6HotCars | Rotislav Prokop
Rostislav Prokop has beautifully showcased that a 6X6 Land Cruiser is a sensible idea. He has cleverly transformed a J200 Series Toyota Land Cruiser SUV into a head-turning monster pickup with brawn and purpose.
Toyota, sadly, discontinued the iconic Land Cruiser in the US. It was due to dwindling demand. Well, won’t an affordable 6X6 off-road-ready Land Cruiser-based pickup be enough to re-kindle the fire?!
